Cookie Time~

No Hurry Almond Pinkies~
Take out the butter about an hour before and preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a mixing bowl ..... Do you have a big old mixing bowl? Don't forget Jazz'e Junque has a nice selection of large & small vintage and Pyrex bowls.
Mix: 2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup butter
1/3 cup whipping cream
1 tablespoon almond extract
4 drop of red food coloring
Beat with hand mixer on low for 3 minutes scraping around the bowl with a spoon~
Divide dough into 3 parts, wrap in wax paper and refrigerate a few hours till dough is firm.
Roll out on clean floured surface. They should be about 1/8" thick. Get you favorite rounded type cookie cutter for shaping. (Jazz'e Junque has bins of cookie cutters)
Place cookies on ungreased cookie sheet about an inch apart. Bake 6 to 9 minutes.
These are good just like this. You can buy a can of white frosting and frost the cooled cookie and place an almond sliver on top. YUM!
